The Power Of Dreams quite simply were one of the greatest ever bands to emerge from Ireland. This 12" was their first single after releasing a couple of demos which where of course excellent also. Craig Walker was still a teenager when he released this one so it really has no right to be so good! The title track showing a man questioning his faith which was incredibly refreshing for an Irish band to tackle a taboo issue and courageous as this was there first single! The other tracks "Mothers Eyes" and "My Average Day"on the EP later got later re-recorded for the debut album Immigrants, Emigrants and Me with "Little Piece Of God" being re-recorded for the "Never Been To Texas" single. "Fine Time" is only available on this single. A little piece of Irish history that is essential for all fans of the band.01. A Little Piece Of God
02. Mothers Eyes
03. My Average Day
04. Fine Time

Thanks 4 dis!
Hey Garrett,
irish are not so bad in indie music no ?
it was a pleasure to listen to this single, i never heard about the nervous "a little pice og god" but i am always amazed by the beautiful "my average day" (it reminds me so well the time when i discovered "immigrants ...").
PS : I used to like Archive in the londinium period but when i heard about Craig Walker in this gone boring band (a pale copy of the 90's pink floyd) i didn't recognize his touching voice and it was a true deception...
thanks a lot and long live to your brilliant blog.
