Mersey Paradise Mix [Real People, Rain and The Stairs]

Mersey Paradise Mix

Someone requested a few more tunes by The Real People, Rain and The Stairs which I am more than happy to provide. Unfortunately, the output of Rain is extremely limited having only produced one album and a handful of singles. The Real People are still plugging away I believe – I have included a more recent song “Closer” which they recently gave away to an Icelandic girl group “Nylon”. The Stairs sound like the Captain Beefheart crossed with the Stones – check out “Skin Up With Me Babe” – taken from their unreleased second album which sinfully hasn’t seen the light of day. It was a pleasure putting these tunes together – I could do a 100 different mixes of these 3 bands and have different songs on them all. Hope you enjoy!

01. Bring You Down – The Real People
02. Taste Of Rain – Rain
03. Mary Joanna – The Stairs
04. Window Pane [12” Remix] – The Real People
05. Tumbledown – Rain
06. Laughter In Their Eyes – The Stairs
07. Car Outside – The Real People
08. Inside Out/Upside Down – Rain
09. Weedbus – The Stairs
10. Closer – The Real People
11. All I Want – Rain
12. Woman Gone And Say Goodbye - The Stairs
13. Everything Must Change [Live] – The Real People
14. Drive On [Live] – Rain
15. Skin Up With Me Babe – The Stairs

Thanks for another great mix, my hard drive has taken a right battering over the past few days! You wouldn't happen to have any MIlltown Brothers would you?

Thanks Clare - concerning the Milltown Brothers I have a few singles and their debut album "Slinky" - unfortunatley I would love to get some more as they were fantastic. funnily enough - tomorrows mix contains a couple of tunes by Milltown Brothers, also The Wonder Stuff, Ned's Atomic etc. I'll maybe see if I can up a couple of Milltown things for you over the weekend.

Excellent mix and glad to see someone paying homage to some of the best bands to come out of Liverpool.

Do you know what is your blog so special? The effort you put in it. It's great to wake up every morning and see what combination of sounds you have come up with today. Its not merely uploading a new album or a must-have. Congrats, again, I'm delighted, slanted and enchanted! ;-D all the best! c
